I’m kind of a sugar freak (disclaimer: I know sugar isn’t the best thing to eat regularly. Someday I’ll take sugar out of my diet, but today is not the day, lol). When I found out that I’m sensitive to dairy and eggs a few years ago, I almost cried as I imagined the delicious desserts that I’d no longer be able to eat. I know that’s a little dramatic, but I sure love my sweets.
Over the last few years I’ve become a dessert detective, and after a ton of trial and error, have discovered my fave allergen-free treats. When we recently discovered that my daughter is sensitive to dairy and gluten, I made sure that the treats that we had around the house were also gluten-free.
Here are mine and my kids’ favorite dairy, egg, and gluten free treats. All of these can be ordered on Amazon, which is awesome because they can’t always be found in local stores. Hope you enjoy!
These chocolate chips are to die for! I use them in muffins, cookies, and for super easy and yummy chocolate dipped strawberries. You might catch me eating them by the handfuls while baking, oops! 😉
My daughter likes these cookies a lot and they come in four flavors! I give her teacher a box of these (or other allergy-friendly cookies) to keep at school so she doesn’t feel left out when kids bring in birthday treats.
Who doesn’t love brownies? I know I do. This is another fave of mine from Enjoy Life brand.
These cookies are so good! I buy the snack n’ go packs for my daughters’ lunches but sometimes they mysteriously disappear as I’m packing them. So weird. 😉
Another one of my daughter’s faves!
These bite sized crunchy chocolate chip cookies are so yummy! They are free of so many allergens, I don’t know how they actually taste so good. It must be baking magic!
Ok, my daughters don’t like mint stuff, but I sure do so these made it on the list. A great stand in for Thin Mints.
Love these fruit snacks for school lunches. They do not contain artificial dyes which most fruit snacks do and my kids love the taste.
These jelly beans are so good! My little one loves candy and these pass her organic candy test (there have been some epic fails in this category, haha). They are also perfect for my older daughter because they are gluten, egg, and dairy free.
These peanut butter cups are little slices of heaven (and very addictive). It is so hard to just eat one. I think they taste wayyy better than Reeses and don’t have all the artificial crap in them. (Quick note for the super sensitive: the label does state that they may contain traces of milk).
My girls love sprinkles on their ice cream and cookies, but mama doesn’t love the dye in them. I do let them get normal sprinkles on their (dairy free) yogurt when we go out but at home we use these! These are pretty and get their color from plants, what’s not to love?
Note: Some of these products contain nuts, so make sure to read the packages if there are nut sensitivities in your family.
